Y6 London Residential

On Wednesday 22nd March 2017, all of the year six children along with Mrs Webb, Mrs Denham, Mrs Paynter and Mr Frankland, set off for a three-day residential trip to London.

After a very long journey, we finally arrived at the Houses of Parliament.  This was an experience we will never forget! We even managed a police escort out of London!

However, we kept smiling and undismayed, we looked forward to the rest of our visit.

The next morning we were extremely excited and set off early for the Harry Potter Studio Tour.  We were amazed by enormity of ‘The Great Hall’, scared by flying Dementors, watched potions being made, visited Privet Drive and even flew on a broomstick.

Later that evening, we arrived at the Cambridge Theatre to watch Matilda.

We all agreed – children and adults – that this was probably one of the best musicals we had ever seen! The staging, set and music were incredible.  What amazed us all were the performers, particularly the children who were out of this world.  We even loved ‘Trunch’!

During our visit,we managed to see most of London’s famous landmarks…

…and some not-so-famous ones, which caught our eye too!

The London Eye gave us a 360 degree view of the area.

We absolutely loved every minute of our experience (perhaps not EVERY minute) and would highly recommend visiting each and every one of these places!
